Controlling border space around the banner display

I used the shortcode to put a banner slideshow
at the top of my front page, just below the menu,
and there appears to be a 70px or so border at
the top of the banner display and the previous
element on the page–the menu.

Is there a flagallery setting I can get my hands
on to control the amount of space that appears
so that it can be eliminated?

…or is the solution to put it all in its own div?
