Search by tag function in galleries?

I’m new to this plugin and have looked around but have not seen any way to implement this yet. Is there any way that you can create a search function (searching by tag of an image) on a per-gallery basis? I would assume you would be able to drop in a shortcode for it on a widget on that gallery page.
