   Hi,

   Is there a way to scroll x numbers of thumbnails at a time? As of now, each time a right > is pressed, only one new thumbnail is disaplayed at a time. This would help in viewing when you have a very large gallery that is updated regularly. Thanks.

   I had good success with version .39. Once I started using .43, my galleries won’t display. I clicked the “reset settings” button and still having the same issues. In a post, when I click the “Fla” button to select which album to insert, I get a 404 error. If I add the album manually using the [flagallery gid=17 name="test"] tag, I get this error:
   [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2032"]

   I really like your gallery and want to use it…I may have to move on to something else if I can’t get this resolved quickly.

     After further investigation, I’ve discovered the problem is with the server I’m using, not with your software. Are there any server variables you know of that would cause this reaction?

     I love this gallery and I invested A LOT of time in setting it up but once you upgraded it to work with WordPress 3.0 it hasn’t worked since. HELP!! I have tried e-mail many times and I never get a response. I did the update today and it still doesn’t work in Google Chrome, IE, or Safari. The only browser it works with is Firefox. This needs to be fixed immediately. If you can’t get it fixed can you send me a link to upload the downgraded version prior to the WordPress 3.0 update b/c that still worked after the update. I really do not want to start over with a new gallery that I will have to rebuild I have 1000′s of pictures cataloged in this.

       I just loaded it on a new WP3.01. Wondering if you disable it and re-enable it if it would work. Just a thought. I don’t have Chrome, but I did check it in IE and Firefox. :)

   Hi,

   I am running latest version and most things works correctly exept for one thing. I am not able to edit the thumbnails. I would click on “Edit thumb” button but I do not see anything on the left box. However, I do see the thumbnail size pic on the right box. Any ideas? Thanks.

     If I understand correctly (someone correct me if I am wrong), the thumbnail edit function is not incorporated for IE into the latest update because of incompatibility issues. That function reappears if you use Firefox.

       I bought the last version of 3D FlatWall Gallery but didn’t have the thumbnail tab under the Option menu. I’m Using the lastest version of FF. I would like to change the default size (115x100px). Thanks.

         just go to any gallery and select image(s). Choose action “Create new thumbnails” and click OK. In popup choose new dimentions you want.

   Trying to install what looks to be a great plugin and am a newbie to wordpress. Installed plugin in plugins directory and receive this error in overview.
   Fatal error: Call to undefined function wpmu_site_admin() in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/flash-album-gallery/admin/overview.php on line 163. And manage gallery shows nothing but tabs add gallery, upload images, and import image but nothing works. Skins and options works. Thanks for any help you can provide.

         Reinstalled the new version and we’re getting closer. I can manage galleries, add images (only with flash uploader disabled – flash uploader notes following error for each image… “ERROR HTTP ERROR : IMG_0261-2.jpg : 404″) .

         And when I go to add an album on a page or post, i see my error -404 webpage not found instead of editor panel to name the album and select galleries to display Thanks for the assist.

   No matter what I do, clearing caches or what, after upgrading and trying to edit thumbnails, the thumbnail change doesn’t stay. It goes back to the default.

   I’m using Firefox, everything works properly, except that it’s not saving the thumbnails I change them to. People’s heads are getting cut off!

     You can try refresh page with Ctrl+F5. I’m sure this is browser cache. Try after update thumb open gallery on different computer and you will see that thumbnail was updated.

       Even after clearing the cache, updating the new thumb edit, clearing the cache again, and opening the gallery on a different computer, my thumbnails since the update to version 0.45 are enlarged: even a thumbnail encompassing an entire head in a portrait will crop everything but a tiny area on the face. Refreshing the page does not help.

       Any thoughts?

         I clicked the box for the image of one of the distorted (new) thumbnails, went up and clicked on Create New Thumbnails, and the new thumbnail had been set to 200 x 160 (or thereabouts) — though I had never changed the default setting.

         I changed the thumbnail image size it to the recommended default settings 115×100, edited the thumb to the view I wanted, then saved my changes.

         This time after clearing the cache the thumbnail was sized correctly in the gallery.

         But there’s more: I checked two other distorted thumbs, went to the resize screen again just as above, and the original default size (115×100) was correct even though the thumbs were distorted.

         So I went ahead and created new thumbnails anyway, edited the thumbs again, saved, and cleared the cache.

         The thumbnails are now the correct size in the gallery.

         Sergey, do you have any idea how the default thumbnail size was altered? I did not alter anything, in fact I’ve never been in that screen before today.

         Any thoughts again?

   I have proved the GRAND Flash Album Gallery on every search engine (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Explorer 6) and work perfectly, but when a open my page with Explorer 7 o 8 appears a Error saying that there a problem with the “shortcode”.
   How bizzard is that? Can you please help me. I guest it could be some code that i have to put in some place, but i really don`t know.

     When IE window size is small (less than 800px) wibiya toolbar doesn’t load and flash work perfectly. I think script for wibiya toolbar refresh flash gallery without needed parameters and flash skin display an error.

     I am trying to do the exact same thing. The gallery provides an info button and when clicked, displays text on top of picture with a grayish screen. I would rather have a small separate box that displays the info. Were you able to accomplish that?

    It would be nice if the admin panels had an option to rotate the images. I upload batches of images and some of them are rotated clockwise or counterclockwise depending on how the picture was taken.

    I host with godaddy and the Grand Flash gallery installed and worked flawlessly,well worth the 34 bucks and it’s fun for me to play with.The full screen feature is incredible,great work!

    On the gallery overview page the UPLOAD IMAGES button and create new gallery text box is in the wrong place.. It is appearing underneath the menu bars on the left..
    Is there any reason for this?
    I have disabled any recent plugins and reset settings and it is still doing it in Firefox and Explorer…
    Great plugin otherwise!!

        I am having the same problem. WordPress 3.0.1 GRAND Flash 0.52
        I am in the process of setting up the site and have found that this is the right gallery plug-in for the job, however I need other people to use it and when it gets mixed up with the menus it is really difficult to use.

          Found the problem!
          Another plug-in was causing the menus to get messed up.
          I disabled all of the other plug-ins and then re-enabled each one until the menus went funny again.

    in the gallery there is a buttom call all cateories but actually when i click there i just can see the actual slidei cant choose the other gallery i have, is there any way to include where it says all categories all the galleries you have at the moment?
    if not is there any way to get rid of the buttom all categories on the left side of the galleries.

      If I understand your query correctly, make sure you have included all your galleries on your published gallery page. See the video tutorial for how to do this.

    I purchased the green skin and installed it afterwards it gave a message of xml error 1080. I reset and it goest back to the original settings but when i deleted the newly installed green skin the free version got deleted and I reinstalled the newly purchased but I got this error now.[IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2032"] Please help!!

    I purchased your FLASH Gallery / Photogallery pro – and love it…

    Few questions:

    1) Can you add a border around the outer edge? and if so, how ?
    2) How do you get a “Enter into Site” link below the slide show – when I try – it says flash slideshow cannot be found…
    3) Can thumnail photo captions appear ?
    4) how do you add the categories to the slideshow ?

    Hmmh after upgrading sadly the plugin did not work especially on the skins, ive tried all solutions stated here and with no luck its still have a problem. Im using latest wordpress, and ive checked the directory and files name all are intect accordingly but the skins still gave me problems especially on customizing the skin options.I kept getting this error:

    Warning: include_once(/home/skulblak/public_html/wp_skull/wp-content/plugins/flagallery-skins/default/default.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/skulblak/public_html/wp_skull/wp-content/plugins/flash-album-gallery/admin/skins.php on line 85

    what could it possibly be? im still rather happy with the old version tho but to upgrading with a new one just mess my gallery..

    We already use this for the images on her site, it would be great to be able to use it for all her work.

      I cannot answer your question technically the way Rattus can, but the two thumbnails in your gallery that say “Error” do work, that is, they do load onto the screen when clicked, but they load very, very slowly. Could the size of your original images be too large? I reduce my images before I ever load them into my galleries (500 for portrait type, 800 for landscape type. Try reducing the image sizes and see what happens, then also check to see that your thumbnails are not being sized too large (you can resize them; see my reponse to no. 6 above).

      If I understand your other question correctly: No, the images do not enlarge when they are clicked.

    I own and operate a web design & development firm in Western Canada and love your Flash Pro Gallery which is found on my main page of – http://www.focusonedesign.ca/blog.

    However, it is only working in IE and not Mozilla Firefox… In Firefox it says “Error with code”

    Can you please check and advise how I fix this urgently.

      Seems like you use plugin that extend wordpress post visual editor (TinyMCE).
      Remove quotes (“”) from shortcode.

    Just a couple questions:

    Do you know of any conflicts with GFAG and the WP admin panel?

    If I disable GFAG temporarily, do I lose my galleries?

    Can the text be made larger in the “I” overlay of the image? It’s very small.

    у меня есть ещё вопрос. у меня версия вордпресс 2.9.2. плагин галереи ведёт себя странно. после активации выдаёт предупреждение:

    GRAND FlAGallery skins upgraded/installed incorrectly. Go to Overview page and click “Reset settings” button.

    резет ничего не меняет. в утановленных плагинах продолжает светиться надпись:

    IMPORTANT: Update to latest version to avoid errors. Try click Reset settings on Overview page before ask questions.
    Now you don’t need to backup your skins folder before update. Enjoy! Have a problem with plugin? Read updated Review and FAQ.

    ну и что самое главное. при активированном плагине пропадает панель визуального редактора в создании страницы или записи. а так же не работает фтп-доступ.

    как это можно решить?

      Наверное, у вас остались старые версии скинов. Перекачайте бесплатные версии с сайта photogallerycreator.com. Если у вас есть платные скины и они были куплены до того, как появился GRAND FlAGallery v0.40, то сообщите мне об этом в письме с указанием “order number”.
      IMPORTANT – это обычное сообщение для тех у кого стоит старая версия плагина, если у вас последняя, то не обращайте внимание.
      На счет визуального редактора и фтп впервые слышу. Могу помочь только при наличии временного доступа к вашей WordPress админке. Возможно это конфликт с другим плагином. Вы так и не сообщили мне, какой скин вы хотите за перевод плагина.

        спасибо большое. я нашёл проблему. визуальный редактор и фтп портачили из-за конфликта галереи с wp-gravatar. пришлось отказаться от аватарок. скин, хотелось бы GreenStyle Pro.

    Issue 1:
    wordpress says 3.0 release is ready to install any compatability issues, I have a purchased version.

    Issue 2: A friend sent me a screen print where this picture viewer doesnt show up at all, just my text above and below. I’m sure he is using windows XP. Any ideas as to what he may need to display properly and does this happen often ?

      1. I’ve not found any compatibility issues with 3.0, and though I’ve not used every single function in Flagallery, I’ve used most of the major functions needed to upload and move images in and out of galleries with text etc., and have also created several new galleries.

      2. Perhaps it’s a flash player version-issue.

    First of all, thanks for this plugin. I was very satisfied with it. I managed to edit it, fitting the template i’m using.

    My images used to be 800×531 and when you’d go mouse-over it would show the thumbs and options to go fullscreen or slide show.

    But…

    I did an update as recomended by your software a scriptupdate. After that update my WP Photogallery skin had disappeared and I had to upload it again. When that was done I chose that skin to be used. Suddenly the gallery showed up but in an another lay-out. And now I can’t adjust it anymore to the original lay I had configured in the first place.

    In short: help.. ;-(

        You can’t change flash skin layout. You can only style image description text (font size, color, underline, bold, talic. Insert links in description). See video tutorial for more

    First be a Sub album under a Album.. example: main album Family – sub album my husband, sub album my kids etc etc…

    Secondly, could you add a Sort order with albums, so the user can tell which order the albums have to be displayed in the list..

      (1) If I understand your question correctly: Your published gallery page title is Family, the first album (gallery) number listed on that page is then that of My Husband, the second that of My Kids etc.

      (2) Order your galleries on the page above by number. See the FAQ on this site.

    I love the plugin!! Very easy to use and set up. I was wondering if there were a way to change the speed of the slideshow. I have had a couple of comments from users that they move too slowly.     Hi there,

    After I install the plugin I get an Internal 500 Server error. Once I remove the plugin I’m told “The plugin flash-album-gallery/flag.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.” (of course file doesn’t exist because I deleted the plugin to get my site back).

    Do you have any suggestion on how to fix this? You have a stellar plugin here! I can’t wait to use it!

    Today I moved my wordpress 3.0 website from a subfolder to root. It seems that operation make my Flash Album Galleries to fail. So what is the steps to tell the gallery that my URL is changed? I use FireFox browser with Firebug tool and see in the code that the path is the old one. Is it an easy operation to fix this in the plugins setting/option section or do I have to go in and edit some of the php or config files for the plugin?

      Found the solution to my request above:

      1) Go to FlaGallery >> OverView
      2) Locate the “Setup Box” in the right upper corner
      3) Click on the button “Reset settings”

      That worked for me

      Cool option and it spare me for a lot of frustration

    It is an issues with the flash uploading buttoms for image in wordpress.
    It is missing the image and also it wlll not open browser for image on my disk etc.

    quick question… i’m working on a website right now (not live yet) and the client wanted to know if when the gallery came up, can the slide show not automatically run. the client would like the visitor to be able to click through or turn slide show on themselves. is there a way to turn the auto start off? am i not seeing something?

    But the uploading proceeds without problems.

    I’m interested in the 3D Cube Skin. If I have let’s say 50 pictures to load. Will all 50 pictures be shown in the 3D Cube animation mode and just wrap on two sides of the cube and then display again on the other two sides.

    Also is Full screen capable using the 3D Cube Skin and also is there a way to use html website links in the description and can you adjust the timing in the slideshow.

      this skin have deep link functionality, so it is better don’t insert more than one the same skin on one page.
      With deep links you can post (send to friend) link to any photo in the gallery.

          The best thumb size for all galleries is 115×100. If thumbs will be larger flash cut off them to 115×100. Try increase Thumbnail Rows on Skin options page.

              I have tried everything. I have created 150 resolution thumbnails in Photoshop at 115 x 100 – and uploaded them directly into the FTP folder – and it still shows them as fuzzy thumbnails. I am not sure if the 3d wall effect is creating the pixelation or what. Not sure what else to do. Please advise as I need to launch this site but the thumbnails are just too distorted.

              This is done, because the plugin is designed to insert in the post or to insert in the header. Rendering small images of high quality takes a lot of system resources, so the skin is made in such a way as to equally show up even on slow computers.

    It is a life saver at least for myself that I am a photographer.

    One quick question, on the default inline editor of WordPress you are creating via a javascript a button that opens up a popup window where you can select and customize a gallery.

    Because for my liking CKEditor is much more powerfull I would like to know how can I add to the toolbars of CKEditor a similar button in order to use this functionality.

    I’m trying to get the image to have a description and link doing what’s described in video, however it won’t work and there’s a gold padlock in the upper right corner and says “Only for Logged in Users” which I don’t see in the video.

    What does that mean? It’s allowing me to fill in the fields for Title and description but it’s not doing anything on the image slideshow.

    Hello,

    I am using your plugin and I find it very good, however there is one minor thing that bothers me; I would like to have image descriptions visible all the time (without the user having to press the “i” button); I think that most people will not press that button and just browse around the images, missing the description I have posted for them; I saw that other image gallery plugins for wordpress (and generally speaking, flash based image galleries) have this option; however after trying most of them I still found yours to be most appropiate for what I need; but, I would like to have image descriptions to show up always.
