Just upload the files from archive in the flash-album-gallery/langs folder. WordPress will automatically load the language file from this directory, where ‘locale’ is the value you defined in your wp-config.php file in the root of your WordPress installation.
You can help me translate GRAND FlAGallery to any target language that you are specialized in. Easiest way to translate the file – using poEdit, a program to help with translations. I will acknowledge all volunteers who make contributes to the translation of GRAND FlAGallery.
And I will present flash skin on choice for GRAND FlAGallery to the each translator.
Using poEdit
- Installing PoEdit: Download poEdit from the PoEdit website (if running Windows, just get the simple installer version) and install it.
- Opening the file: Open poEdit (Start->Programs->poEdit->poEdit). If this is the first time you’ve run it, it will ask for your name and email address, to put them in the translation file. Then go to File->Open and open up the ‘flag.pot’ file, which you can find in ‘lang’ folder of plugin.
- Basic translation:Select a line to translate in the top frame, and enter the translation in the bottom. poEdit keeps track of which lines have not yet been translated, and which are “fuzzy” translations (automated translations that may be wrong and should be checked). poEdit will also tell you if a sentence has a plural (ie. needs a different translation depending on the number of things being printed out). This should be straightforward. File->Save or the Save button will save your translations to the same file.
- % placeholders: Sadly, these are a bit more complicated. The first are % placeholders. These appear within text and stand for something missing – %d means a number, %s means some more text. For example, a sentence to give the colour of a cat and its size, in Spanish:
"The cat is %s and %d centimetres long." "El gato tiene %s y %d centímetros de largo."
The colours would be translated separately elsewhere in the file. If a situation arises where you need to refer to the % placeholders in a different order from the English, you need to specify which placeholder goes where. Here’s an example, but ask if this comes up in your translation (hopefully it won’t :) ) :
"I have %s the %s." (I have read the book.) "Ich habe das %2$s %1$s." (Ich habe das Buch gelesen.)
- Email me throug this form with as much or as little as you have done, and I will get it up and running as soon as possible. :-)

он идет вместе с плагином. Там два скина: Midnight и Midnight Int.

Nice plugin but I need the main flash gallery window in French. Is a french translation under way ? Is it possible to get the source code for the flash file so I could translate it ? I don’t have the folder “langs” under the folder “flash album gallery”. So it is not working. Where is this folder?
The path is this one: wp-content /plugins /flash-album-gallery /lang.
My french files are inside, but this is not working even if my wp-config local is on french.

i have a question. i’ve made a spanish translation .mo file with Poedit.I name it es_ES.mo and upload it to flash-album-gallery/langs.
My wp-config.php file define the lang to es_ES:
define (‘WPLANG’, ‘es_ES’);
But it’s not working, what i’m doing wrong?

I’ve bought two skins and, however the plugin is translated to brazilian portuguese, I would like to know how to translate the flash content of the skins. In fact, just two words: FULLSCREEN and THUMBNAILS.
And if possible to change the letter “I” of image information (title and description) that appears in the over the image.
But most important is translate the two words:
FULLSCREEN = Tela Cheia

I am using your super excellent gallery on a Swedish WordPress-blog, but how can I change so the info-text in the slideshows shows åäö and other non English charachters, in my version åäö are not showing at all. I am using UTF-8 in WordPress.

Hellow folks, i have a doubt! My wordpress instalation have all the transalted files. But in the exibition of gallerie the button remain with “ALL CATEGORIES” label. I’ve thought that with the pt_BR the label mentioned it’ll be like “Todas as Categorias”. How can i translate him or to hide? Can you help me? The same thing happens with the label at upper left corner “Gallerie”. Thanks

Ce plugin est sans nul doute l’un des plus intéressants du genre. Seulement, je déplore le fait qu’il soit impossible d’obtenir une interface en français. Impossible, par exemple, d’obtenir un «galerie» plutôt que «Gallery». L’interface n’accepte pas les accentuations. J’aurais vraiment aimé utiliser votre plugin dans mon site, mais en raison de cet inconvénient, il m’est impossible de le faire. Dommage!
Im using russian translation. As for me it was not so simple to install it (dont know why) but now its all ok and thanks to the translators!
