   I’ve recently updated to v1.41 and now I am getting a slew of the following error(s):

   Warning: unlink(/usr/home/cubscout/public_html/wp-content/plugins/flagallery-skins/photo_pro_demo/FILENAME.php) [function.unlink]: Permission denied in /usr/home/cubscout/public_html/wp-content/plugins/flash-album-gallery/lib/core.php on line 263

   I have changed permissions on flagallery-skins/ (777) but to no avail. Any suggestions?

     You should manually move and replace (or install new) skins from `/wp-content/plugins/flash-album-gallery/skins/` to `/wp-content/plugins/flagallery-skins/`

   I’ve just installed this plugin and I’m having trouble with the playlists. I get the error message that the playlist is not found. I’ve reset settings on the overview page, deactivated & re-activated the plugin, tried sevearl different themes and deleted the plugin via FTP & reinstalled the plugin and still the same error for the music & video playlists – playlist not found. Any help would be much appreciated!

       I am having the same issue. Playlist directory is CHMOD 0755, xml file is 0644. Player was working with one file, then created a playlist and it no longer shows or plays anything. I don’t get any error message.

I have so many skins from the Wimpy Rave player… Is there any ways I can use that for the music box? Or do you have other skins beside the one the default player? I am a music fan and making that skin better would be just awesome. Thank you sir.

   I love this plug in – one quick question. Can I set it so that it automatically goes to a slide show rather than people having to click the next button? Is that a feature in the paid version? If it is I am willing to buy it. It would be so helpful on my site.

    Props for the great plugin. This is head and shoulders above the competition. I was using another gallery plugin, but have since switched to this one. Now if only I could find someone that can do a great schedule / calender plugin…

    Thank you for plugin, it is really awesome and I like it.

    I have one suggestion for little improvement to your plugin. When some image info is specified and “ï” in upper right corner is displayed, you could make image info text displaying on “hover” over it instead of click on it, and maybe rather with quick dim instead of fadeout. I think it could be more comfortable and quicker then do two clicks (appear/disappear) with waiting for picture dim.

    I just purchased green-style and Sphere and uploaded them into my WordPress plug in file or my domain.

    They did not immediately appear among my plug-ins and after waiting over 15-minutes to see if they appeared, they did not. I had this same problem before with your plug-ins and had to ask your help. Is there something I can do to solve this problem?

      install skins via special form on FlAGallery -> Skins page OR upload unzipped skins via FTP to `/wp-content/plugins/flagallery-skins/` folder

      update plugin via FTP: Deactivate plugin -> upload and replace flash-album-gallery folder to server plugins folder (you can do it with some FTP manager program) -> activate plugin

              Increase PHP Memory limit to what? I have my wp-admin>php.ini file set to 128MB (to match whats in the gd.humbnail.inc.php). But it seems that any image I load that has dimensions over 1200 by 1500 crap out on me, returning the error:

              Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 33030144) (tried to allocate 8608 bytes) in /homepages/39/d234855279/htdocs/wsb4826588703/wp-content/plugins/flash-album-gallery/lib/gd.thumbnail.inc.php on line 161

              The images load but the thumbnails do not, rendering the whole gallery useless.

              Is it my htaccess file? It has some weird stuff in their that I’ve never seen before, beginning with # BEGIN WordPress
              … but generally I leave the htaccess file alone.

              It’s not just this photo gallery, but any photo gallery I try. Is it a 1and1 hosting issue? Please say no, as I hate hate hate going to their help desk.

              Oh please tell me you can help me!

    Just using the plugin as an mp3 player- I have edited the colours and size in the default_player but nothing changes- also changed the current skin setting- nothing changes…any advice?

      go to playlist -> change skin options -> click Sve Changes and close Options popup -> click button ‘Update skin options for this playlist’
      For mini mp3 player: FlAGallery -> Options -> MP3 Single Player Options tab

        Using the method noted above, changes to the skin on an individual playlist don’t show up in player. Can the skin files be changed in any way and then be uploaded via FTP to make the updates stick? Or am I missing something obvious? Thanks for your help.

    Something’s not right. The skin I had it just disappeared! And another one got in its place trying to be sold. I wouldn’t mind buying it but it doesn’t suit my purpose. I can’t find the original one. Any ideas?

          generate shortcode on Post editor with flagallery button -> copy it -> insert with php function in theme template. Here is a function:

    I have tried with numerous attempts to “Change Skin Options” for the Default Banner Player. I want to eliminate the feature which displays the photo name in a red banner over the photo. I have found that the photo names do not cycle properly: the name for an earlier photo in the sequence appears over a later photo, thus making no sense. When I click on “Change Skin Options” (where I assume I can disable this feature), I get the following message: “This page requires Flash Player version 10.1.52 or higher.” I have downloaded the newest Flash Player from Adobe three separate times, and I still get this message.

    1) How can I disable the slide name appearing in the banner?

    2) How can I get around the erroneous message to download the latest version of Adobe Flash so I can have access to the skin options?

    Thanks for an amazing gallery plugin.. I have implemented it on my photography portfolio which has been launched today.

    Wishlist for new features are better album/gallery navigation. An album overview page which shows a thumbnail for each gallery in the album and lets you click through to that album, and an option to go back from the gallery to the album overview page. Nested albums would be the next thing to add after that.

    But hey, it is still the best gallery plugin around in my opinion :)

      Also how do I remove the black outline around the thumbnail images on the Commercial int or Midnight International skin. I edited the $thumbMouseOver and $thumbMouseOut color in the settings.php file but the black outline remains. Is that editable through the files included with the skin or only through the .fla file?

        Go to admin Skins page -> activate Commercial int or Midnight International skin -> click Active Skin Options tab -> change Thumbs Rollover Color -> click Save Changes button

        Thank you so much for your response. Unfortunately that is the same thing I was saying that I already edited I just did it the long way through the settings.php file because I didn’t see the Active Skins Option tab before. That does not change the fact that there is a BLACK BORDER around the image before you even get to the thumbs mouse over and mouse out color/border. How do I get rid of that BLACK BORDER? Its on both the Midnight skin and the Commercial Int. I don’t want to purchase it until I know that black border can be removed.

          You can only set color of border. For example you can use the same color as background color to hide borders. Try other skins without thumb border.

    I don’t know/or have a problem creating an Album.

    I go into “Manage Galleries” -> Add new gallery -> Upload Images … and that’s all good, it works.

    But lower on the page, where there’s “Albums” sections, I try in the name in the empty box and click on “Create New Album” … but nothing happens!

    Could someone please help me – what am I doing wrong?

      To insert galleries in the post you don’t need to create Albums (it’s for easier sorting and for widgets). See Video Tutorial

        I am having the same problem. I’ve sifted through the tutorial, there isn’t even a choice for ‘album’ on the tutorial. I need to make an album in order for my sidebar widget to work.

        Right now, I’ve got two ‘categories’. I’ve tried to drag the categories in the album box, nothing, I’ve tried to put in an album name, nothing, I’ve tried created a page and plugging in the link to the page, nothing.

        I need to make an album because I really want the sidebar widget. I can’t and it’s quite frustrating. Otherwise, great plug in. Very easy to create categories etc.

    The jquery is not working in the latest version so the banner is not displaying the images. Instead I see 3 small black dash lines. If I look at the code with firebug, it is clear the jquery is not working. The previous version does the same in IE 9. I despirately need assistance

    Any idea why the thumbnails in my slider are not showing up? You can view this problem by going to the ‘owl’ post and scrolling all the way down to the bottom of the page. The images show up in the main area, just not in the slider below. ??

      Try disabling other plugins one by one. Maybe it’s plugin conflict.

    Hi Rattus,

    So far, so good. I’ve been able to upload pictures, and the thumbnails have been generated for the first fifteen or twenty galleries. But now, after the pictures upload successfully, I’m getting the following error when the plugin attempts to generate each thumbnail:

    p1010876.jpg (Error : Exceed Memory limit. Require : 39.69 MByte)

    I’m using WordPress 3.1 because my ISP hasn’t upgraded to support 3.2.1 or 3.3 yet…

    I’ve been using this plugin for flash gallery that has jQuery support for mobile devices. The galleries used to appear on iPhones, iPod nad iPad but it’s no longer working and I just get a blank page when I try to view the galleries using iPad or iPhone. I need help to get this going again.

      seems like you use cache plugin. Go to plugin settings and disable javascript compression.

    Sorry if this is a double up but the post I put up previously dissapeared. I’m having trouble with this plugin because the galleries I have put up perviously could be viewed by iPhones etc (via jQuery). However, for some reason they can’t be vewed on iPhone anymore. I need help. Thanks.

      Check if your site have javascript error (maybe some new plugin get it). Fix this error or disable broken plugin.

    I have ticked the box for the photos to expand to the size of the box … But I’m struggling to find the correct size of the image so it shows the complete size in the box not a magnification.

    What is the perfect size to use?

    I’ve tested a # of them and cant get any 1 to fit.

    Is there a default image size that works the best?

      there is no the best size for images. It’s depend on what size flash gallery is. Try variable flash Gallery size in options or in the shortcode. (don’t use % for height)

    Hi,
    Every time I upload pictures, it comes back with this fatal error:

    But all the pictures exist in /wp-content/flagallery/gallery1 directory.!!
    I uninstall it and install it again, but I keep getting the same error. I’m using TwentyEleven theme and all other plugins are working well.!!!

    What’s the problem???

      go to edit gallery -> check last column checkboxes (column with lock) to display this images only for logged in users -> save changes -> logout -> now see the gallery when you logged out. Note: At least one image must be visible to all.

    Hi, I’ve downloaded and installed your great plugin and everything works perfect, exept the widget feature.
    I created an album and a widget with random files, but when I click on the thumbnail on my website everything turns into a gray transparent view. (tested with my 2 PCs)
    Then I spent some time to figure out what might be wrong and edited the Widget.php (deleted ###echo ‘var fbVar = “‘.FLAG_URLPATH.’”; var fbW = ‘.$instance['fwidth'].’, fbH = ‘.$instance['fheight'].’; waitJQ(fbVar,fbW,fbH);’.”\n”;####)
    Note: I am an amateur, I just deleted some of the entries and one of them worked for me^^

    Now the gallery shows up in a seperate window, but that is not the way it was intended, hm?

      Perhaps you have some javascript error in your theme or other plugin and fancy box won’t work. Fix js errors and gallery will work ok.

    I have the commercial int skin and love it, VERY nice work! However i just noticed today that the jquery version that is supposed to come up on iphones is not working.

    The option is ticked in the settings and i know it worked when i first tested the script, but now nothing shows up.

    Can you help?

    Hi,

    First of all thanks for the great gallery.
    One question though.

    I bought the Pro-version, but after de-installing the plugin and re-installing the attachment of your email I still see the buy icon and the demo version.

    How do i change this?

      Install skin zip via Skins page -> activate installed skin OR use skin parameter in your shortcode, for example: [flagallery gid=all skin=photo_pro_1_2 name=Galleries]
      Use FlAGallery button to insert shortcode.

    I have installed the latest version of Grand Flash but am having issues with being able to save any options. I get the pop up saying, settings cannot be saved. I have gone through and have checked permissions and have made anything I can see associated with the player to 755 or higher. That did not seem to help, so I uninstalled/ re-installed the plugin to see if that made a difference-it did not.
    any thoughts?

      Try chmod `/wp-content/plugins/flagallery-skins/` folder and subfolders to 777 if 755 not helped you. Also files should be 644.

    I should also mentione: I have reset all plugin settings on overview page, no help. When I am going on Skins, I only see an empty page with 2 headers Add new skin, and active skin options, but both links dont show anything.

    Ok, figured it out – had to uninstall the plugin and reinstall it – then it works again. Using peach fractal theme, but also tried several others with no success prior. Thankfully all the names and ID’s of the galleries seem to have survived! (152 galleries).
