Galleries disappeared

I just noticed that my galleries have disappeared from the posts. I am using the Midnight skin. Here is an example:

The widget works. On the right hand side, the 4th column, The widget displays the gallery that is used in the above post. It is titled: CLICK PHOTO TO LAUNCH SLIDESHOW — “STREET ART. WILLIAMSBURG-GREENPOINT”

I have tried some trouble shooting that has not resolved the problem. What should I do?

Your theme using old jQuery library v 1.4.2 which is not supported by many modern plugins. You should update your theme to use built in wordpress jQuery v 1.10.2.

Do you have any experience with the wordpress plugin updater, Jquery Updater? I think it will update me to the latest JQuery 2.+

Most plugins use built in WordPress jQuery v1.10.2.
In jQuery 2.+ some of functions deprecated or replaced (renamed), so plugin could not work. I didn’t test it.
