Hi,
I have been struggling to figure out why the gmedia album only shows when you are logged in. All the photos and the Album are set to public.
Example 1: https://berlinembroidery.com/test-4/
This is a page with the shortcode actually inserted into the page: [gm album=8]. When you are logged in, it shows the one image in the gallery. When you are logged out, it shows nothingExample 2: https://berlinembroidery.com/gallery/?id=8
This page shows the album with the ID in the URL. There is an album with the ID of 8. The same thing happens as above and the same shortcode is being used. However, when I change the ID to the ID of a category, it does work whether you are logged in or not. E.g. https://berlinembroidery.com/gallery/?id=35. The problem is that we are using the categories for something else, and it is the album that we need to display.I am including two attachments to show you the IDs of the albums and categories.
What is going on? Your help is very much appreciated and needed asap as the website is live.
Thank you,
Ryan
September 27, 2017 at 18:06 #10067RattusKeymasterI need access to your WP Dashboard, so I can try to solve your problem. As for now, seem like Gmedia plugin was deactivated on your site.

Were you able to look into this for us? The website is live.
Thank you,

October 2, 2017 at 20:45 #10085RattusKeymasterOk, I’ll look right now.
October 2, 2017 at 20:47 #10086RattusKeymasterlogin / password you sent not working for me
October 3, 2017 at 00:32 #10088AnonymousInactiveDo you mean for WP Admin? I have just tested it and it is working fine for me. Make sure to copy all the symbols from the password. Or is it the FTP information you tried? I can test that as well if that’s what is not working. Let me know! Thank you!
October 3, 2017 at 15:16 #10092RattusKeymasterFixed. Updated album’s status, because there was wrong value in database.
October 3, 2017 at 21:42 #10093AnonymousInactiveAny idea why it was causing out of memory errors? Also, any idea why that happened or how to prevent it? I tried changing the status many times to public.
October 3, 2017 at 21:51 #10094RattusKeymasterHave no idea, you are the first with such problem. The status in database was “43” instead of “publish”.
What do you mean “memory errors”?October 3, 2017 at 21:59 #10095AnonymousInactiveThe entire wordpress backend stopped working… you couldn’t upload images, search for plugins, visual composer wouldn’t load it’s edit windows, etc. The host checked and disabled the gmedia plugin and everything started working again.
October 3, 2017 at 22:29 #10096RattusKeymasterCan your hosting provide some proves, that Gmedia cause any errors? The error_log files should record all errors on the server, but I can see nothing related to Gmedia.
October 3, 2017 at 22:57 #10097AnonymousInactiveI don’t know. I will ask them if it happens again.
Also, there was a category field in the albums that we used to show the albums in the right category on this page: https://berlinembroidery.com/gallery/. The albums disappeared from that page, so I checked, and now I don’t see a category field in the albums anymore?October 3, 2017 at 22:58 #10098AnonymousInactiveIt wasn’t a custom field, so I am not sure why it disappeared?
