Is there a way to prevent these pages from automatically generating? I have galleries that should be hidden/protected in pages and they are still accessible to crawlers and the outside world because of the auto-generated “gmedia/ID#” pages. I have a plugin to prevent saving images and it is useless on these pages.
Thanks!
Gmedia pages not accessible to crawlers (if you didn’t post link on some other page). Nobody knows the url to Gmedia gallery page if you did not tell it anyone. I’ll think about option to hide preview pages from public even if someone knows url.
Has this issue been resolved? The lack of security is troubling
No, frustratingly it has not. I’m unable to properly protect client images because of it.
Can we change permissions or password protect without breaking the site
