Modify Theme to use Gmedia instead of WP Media?

Hello,

Is there some way, by modifying some files, to be able to use Gmedia instead of the original WP media function to select pictures?
For example, with the Theme Agama, http://theme-vision.com/agama/ , I can put two sliders on top of my website (mostly a Gmedia Gallery). I’d like to change this slider to put the last picture I add in my gallery. To do that, to avoid that I import my picture two time, in Gmedia and in WP Media system, I’d need to be able to select the picture of the slide from Gmedia instead of WP media.

Is that possible?
