Moving grand-media directory from wp-content/ to wp-content/uploads

Hi Rattus. Is there anywhere in the code or a way I can move the directory grand-media directory for storing uploaded media from wp-content/ to wp-content/uploads/ ? Our server and security guys are against the idea of giving any plugin write access anywhere outside wp-content/uploads/ for security reasons and how the infrastructure is setup. Please help.

Unfortunately, it’s impossible without modifying plugin core files.
