Override template//head.php

Hi,
Having issues overriding template/head.php in my child theme so wondering is it actually possible to do so? I’d rather not edit the files in the plugin directory.

Likewise, wanting to trigger an action when native functions are called ie gmediacloud_meta_generator

I know we can override posts via the templates below, but I am trying to fix up content on the galley/album cloud page, and these posts do not get triggered for gallery.

single-gmedia.php for Gmedia images Posts
single-gmedia_album.php for Gmedia Albums Posts
single-gmedia_gallery.php for Gmedia Galleries Posts

Can you assist on these please.
