Portfolio gallery layout

Hi. Using GMedia gallery free plugin in my sites and it works nicely, thank you for your work, I always use the Phantom module but now I need to create a portfolio-like layout, so with filterable categories. I’m asking if it’s possible with the free version and as simply as creating an album, not creating one cpt for each image as I need only to add an image title and no more info. Thank you
