Slide show running slowely

Hello,

My slide shows are starting and running too slowly. Is there a way to make them running faster? If the problem is having the image size too large, do I need to remove all images, and resize them one by one before reinstalling?
Can I temporarily deactivate the plugin without losing the images or the show functionality?

To change slideshow delay go to Skins page -> click on options link of the skin -> change Slideshow Delay property and save.
To resize images go to Manage Galleries page -> select gallery checkbox -> choose Resize Images option from Actions dropdown menu and click Apply -> set size and click OK -> clear your browser cache after resizing to see changes.
Yes, you can deactivate plugin on Plugins page and all galleries and settings will be in safe (but not if you click delete plugin)
