Unwanted and unpredictable changes to image order

For some reason, my image order has recently started changing or being altered — several times — without my having changed anything, neither the global settings nor the specific settings to the order in albums. I take time to reorder the images in several albums only to find they have changed again, sometimes — but not always — after an update. I’ve used Gmedia since its inception, and FlaGallery before it, and never had this happen. Any thoughts?
