Update issues after update from 0.9.4 to 1.1.3

Hi,
we have a problem with our site, if I update the plugin and the database after it, there are no more pictures and even text visible in Gemedia.
We don’t have a license for the plugin, but our customer will buy one if we can fix the problem. If we cant fix it, this make no sense.
How can we solve the problem? I restored the backup I made before, so now the plugin is the old version again.
Can you have a look on it and if you can tell me how to make the update without loosing everything or if you can do it, we’ll just take the license.

Done. Galleries working now.
After update if galleries stop working you should check if all modules you use are installed and up to date.
