    Hi,
after the update my site shows only white screen.
Only deactivating plugins (ftp) brings it back.
I use WordPress 4.8.1 running Twenty Seventeen theme and have no influence on my PHP version, which seems to be 5.2.2.

    Is there any solution?

    Best regards
    Michael

You should look into server’s error log file to see which file and function cause the error.

PHP 5.2 is very old and even WordPress in the next version will drop support of PHP v5.2.
Ask your hosting provider to update PHP to the newer version.

Provider asks me if I would like PHP 5.6 or7.0 – what should I use?

That is your choice. Gmedia works with 5.6 and 7.0. But I can’t guarantee that other plugins works fine with 7.0.
So, I recommend 5.6 unless you sure that all your plugins works fine with 7.0.

Have upgraded now to 5.6 and the plugin works again.
    Thanks
