    paladuma:

    >>5. The module thumbnails in the gallery manager overlap the gallery names – it makes it very difficult to use the gallery manager.

Yes, in fact, it makes it impossible for me. I cannot access the gallery title link at all.
I did, however, discover the following concerning the gallery-manager module thumbnails:

The “Create, manage galleries” screen works in iPad. The module thumbnail is positioned to the left of the active title link (top), description (middle), and shortcode (bottom); then the Module, Type, Last Edited, Status, and Source boxes are all on the right..

The problem seems to be with the positioning of these features at least in Firefox and IE (the two I have tried).
If I understand correctly, the “Create manage galleries” works in Chrome, but I have not tested it.

The plugin author, I hope, will quickly address this layout problem in Firefox and IE.

Your wrote: “4. it is not possible to delete any item. If I selct an item for deletion and start the “delete”-function, the side mimes deletion of the item, but it will not deleted realy.”

See my post above; I could not delete a new gallery I had created, but the plugin author fixed that issue in the latest upgrade, at least for “deleting galleries.”

I checked your gallery (Firefox), and, yes, Kalkrabe im Angriffsflug is the the image that appears after clicking our first (top left) thumbnail, not the parent image of the thumbnail.

    Details:
    For my third item:
At http://blog.berndreichert.de/?page_id=7462 the first image of the first gallery has id 5495 (that’s correct) and the thumbnail has the id 5406 (That’s wrong !).
The image with id 5406 is on first position of the seventh gallery on this page. But for id 5406 is now shown any thumbnail. It’s a confusion.
Some time the thumbnail for image id 5495 is an other thumbnail id, it changes sometimes.

This problem is valid for all images of allgalleries in all cases with more than one edited gallery on a page.

    For my fourth item:
I wrote that I have image datasets from what the image files were lost during the database update, and I wrote that I tried to restore the image files (*.jpg files) with the same file name and at the same directory. But GMedia could not show the restored image in the library and at the album edit view. That’s why I loaded-up the the lost image file one’s more and made a new dataset (with “Add media file”). And after this I tried to delete the dataset with the lost image file, but it was impossible.

Phantom module fixed in GmediaGallery v0.9.10

Thank You very much. Two of the issues i wrote are solved now in Version 0.9.10:

“3. The thumbnails show not the correct images, the show an image of an other album or no thumbnail. ”

    and

“5. The module thumbnails in the gallery manager overlap the gallery names – it makes it very difficult to use the gallery manager.”

But the impossibility of deletion of image data sets in the library is a grave fault yet.

    Best regards

I need access to your WP admin, so I can see the problem closer.

    1. Gmedia Library has no more thumbnails
    http:cords-illustration.de/download/gm/gm1.jpg
    2. Create/Manage Galleries : No items found (Error Message= invalid taxonomy)
    http:cords-illustration.de/download/gm/gm2.jpg
    3. Manage Modules: Error loading remote xml + No valid URL transmitted
    http:cords-illustration.de/download/gm/gm3.jpg

My homepage is pretty empty now: http:cords-illustration.de/download/gm/gm4.jpg
Any ideas where I can start fixing the galleries?

    4. Install module Zip = Filesystem error

Ok, the images/thumbnails are shown after resetting grand media.
Just the modules (Slider and Optima) are broken.
Deinstallation doesn’t work, because grandmedia can’t find modules
    Reinstallation doesn’t work: Filesystem Error
A manual ftp installation doesn’t work, because: 550 CHMOD 777 module: Operation not permitted
    No rights to overwrite modulefiles.

License to premium modules are successfully updated.
Any ideas how to reinstall the modules?

Well, even a clean installation of gmedia doesn’t work correctly. It’s still unable to install Slider and Omptima Modules.
The folder and content “/wp-content/grand-media” is missing and this version of gmedia can’t access custom folder.

If its not impossible to install module via FTP to ‘/wp-content/grand-media/module/‘ folder then its problem with your server and permissions.

Sure, I can change permission, copy the files and change back to PHP-User. But gmedia does not recognize the modules in this folder!

If you can give me access to your WP admin and maybe FTP access, then I can look on what can be done with your problem.
