Sorry: here’s the screenshot of the obscured galleries (can’t access gallery link to open edit screen):

Here a screenshot of the obscured galleries (all are obscured like this). Also a scrreenshot of the “Albums, tags…” where “Reproduction of Auguste’s Bust” gallery does not appear.

    Another issue, I think:

I created a gallery, then selected it and tried to delete it, but the deletion failed. One cannot delete the gallery.

Regarding uncategorized galleries no longer showing up:

You wrote: “(3) Galleries now can not use images without terms (categories, albums, tags), so you need to assign at least one term to image to show it in the Gallery.
In latest plugin version (v0.9.7) I’ve added ability to edit broken galleries. Albums is the only term where you can order items, so go to Albums, Tags… page -> edit album to change image order in it. Tags and Categories shows images ordered by ID descending.”

The gallery exists, but I cannot order the images because it is not listed under Albums, Tags -> Albums.
I assigned a category term “People” to all the images in the gallery, and the gallery still does not show up under Albums, Tags -> Albums, so I cannot edit the order.
I was able to click on 2 letters of the album/gallery link and assign the gallery to “Show supported files from -> Tags” and “Choose Tags” — I saved the gallery, but it still does not show up under Albums, Tags -> Albums.

I’m unsure what to do next.

    Thanks for responding; much appreciated.

You wrote: “(3) Galleries now can not use images without terms (categories, albums, tags), so you need to assign at least one term to image to show it in the Gallery.”

But at least in one gallery, all the images did indeed have assigned tags, and the gallery still does not show up under Albums; it shows up under Tags but is not accessible for editing — clicking on the gallery title only enables me to change the name, not edit the order.

You wrote: “(4) Albums is the only place where you can order images, so go to Albums, Tags… page -> edit album to change image order in it. Then choose this album to show in gallery.”

V0.9.7 does not fix this issue for me; I still cannot edit the albums. The links are hidden behind the module image.

You wrote: “(6) Image of module used as checkbox to select galleries. To edit gallery click on gallery title link. (Note: for edit broken galleries update plugin to v0.9.7)”

That is my point above: there is no gallery title link; it is obscured by the module image.

You worte: “In latest plugin version (v0.9.7) I’ve added ability to edit broken galleries. Albums is the only term where you can order items, so go to Albums, Tags… page -> edit album to change image order in it. Tags and Categories shows images ordered by ID descending.”

But certain older albums are not appearing under Albums, Tags; that is, there is no way to choose the album — it no longer exists. v0.9.7 does not fix this issue.

You wrote: “(5) Perhaps your server can’t get modules list to show updated modules. Here are links to ZIP files of modules. You can install them on Manage Modules page by clicking “Install Module ZIP” button:”

Thanks for the links, but I’m still using the Minima module until the gallery is more stable. Do I need to update that one as well?

    Thanks again.

Perhaps I should have been more specific in #6 above: I cannot edit any galleries because the links to open them up for editing are obscured by an image of the module. Clicking on that image merely selects it, but there is no option to open a selected gallery for editing.

FWIW: some users of the latest version of NextGEN gallery (which incorporates no flash elements: “NextGEN Gallery uses Javascript (J-Query) based displays) are receiving essentially the same message:

“You browser doesn’t have Flash, Silverlight, HTML5, or HTML4 support.”

Same problem here, but users should not have to revert to an earlier version of WordPress, since doing so will potentially cause problems with other plugins and features that are compatible with 3.9, not to speak of security vulnerabilities. Unfortunately, it seems this plugin is no longer compatible with the latest version of WordPress. Any plans to address the problem, or should one choose a different gallery plugin?

There is no documentation that I know of, and the entire plugin is apparently still under development.

Just as an experiment, you might try creating a (1) category and (2) tag that basically have the same name, e.g., “Test Images” for both category and tag. Then upload a couple of images assigned (in the upload screen) to that category and that tag (you don’t need but a couple of images; you just want to see if you can get the gallery to appear).

Then choose the Minima module and create and name a gallery (the free module; again, just an experiment, because it is a simple module) and set it up (at the bottom of the settings page) to access (1) that particular category and (2) that particular label. Don’t worry about the order etc. yet. Then make sure that you have given the “Tab” a name (at the bottom of the settings page), maybe, again, the same name “Test Images” or whatever. If I do not name that tab, my galleries do not appear, but I don’t understand why.

Then save the gallery, go to your page (it seems you want it on your homepage), and enter the shortcode for that gallery wherever you want it on the page — save the page — then see if the gallery appears. Make sure your gallery width is small enough to fit in your main text area.

If I understand correctly, you don’t need to specify a category for a gallery (though I usually do), but you do need to specify which “label” or “labels” that gallery is to access (i.e., which images with which specific labels).

I hope this helps; again, I don’t entirely understand either. Good luck.

Are you typing in the name of the category or tag you want to create? and then clicking on “Add”? That should create the category or tag and add them to the list below the box.

Ah, now I see what you’re referring to. Vielleicht weiss Herr Upmann Bescheid.

English: The odd thing is that not all the titles are washed out. You might check the mp3s themselves on your hard drive to see whether there are any odd entries under mp3->properties->details. In any case, I would erase all the mp3s from the gallery, erase the music-player gallery you have created, then reload the mp3s one at a time and add them one at a time to the music player (don’t add a category or tag until you have already tried the previous mp3). Perhaps you can then determine where (and why) this oddity first appears.

I’m unsure whether it can be addressed with CSS, since it’s not occurring with every song. The plugin author would have to answer that. I will say that I have not had this problem (yet) with the Gmedia music player, so it seems like something on your end.

    Hope that helps.

As far as I can see, your module is displaying exactly like the demo on this site, whose text color of single tracks is the same.

    https://codeasily.com/portfolio-item/gmedia-music-player/

    Or is there another demo?

In any case, the color-options function has not yet been implemented in the Gmedia music player as it was in the FlaGallery players. In fact, several key functions are still outstanding (i.e., have yet to be implemented) in this plugin. I posted earlier about this under Gmedia -> Forum -> Requests and Feedback.

Thanks; I’ll wait for that feature.
BTW: I’ve transitioned all my galleries to Gmedia, and all seem to be rendering correctly in the browsers and mobile devices I’ve checked so far.

    Works perfectly.
